* Chorleywood pharmacists Hitesh Dodhia of Parade Pharmacy and Pradip Pandya of R & O Pharmacy are warning residents about a leaflet delivered to houses from Pharmacy2U advertising ‘repeat prescriptions without repeat trips to the surgery’
“ It has nothing to do with local pharmacies or surgeries” says Hitesh, “ If people get medication elsewhere local pharmacists won’t hold their records so we can’t re-supply meds if they run out. If anybody has signed up and wants to pull out we can revert it.”
Pharmacy2U has a habit of misleading advertising and last year was fined £130,000 for selling customers’ information.
* Our pharmacies are once again under threat after recent talks in Parliament about a vital subsidy broke down. Pharmacies are set to receive £113m less than expected between December 2016 and March 2017 and £208m less the next financial year.
