Children at Christ Church School have been snapping music themed photos over the summer.
“The pupils were challenged to photograph musicians and musical instruments during their holidays” says Year 6 teacher Laura Clow, “from street buskers, hotel entertainers to musical exhibits. There were some brilliant entries and the judges had a tricky job. First prize went to Edward’s selfie with an Alpine horn in Switzerland, 2nd to Sam with his ‘Piano on a Beach’ and third to Hope with Lego Musicians!”
“Our holiday photo competitions are a fun way to encourage children to notice things when they’re out of their familiar home environment.” says Head teacher Duncan Gauld, ” We have had entries from across the globe from Croatia to the British Virgin Islands – a great education doesn’t stop with the end of a school term!”
