`The Big Bang Theory` is going to have a spin off series, I thought I’d take a look at setting some other franchises in and around Chorleywood.
First up, our cuddly little newts, in `Tales from the Riverbank 2` then I realised they live in a pond (and we don’t have a bank in Chorleywood any more ) so thought of `Common Life`, might confuse viewers with `Shameless` so that won’t work, moved to `Park Life` but at the back of my mind I think that ones been done already.
Next up, something featuring our local horses who are our eyes and ears on the streets in the fight against organised crime by passing on tips to our PCOs, I was thinking of `The Horse Whisperer 2` then moved the plot on and the horses could go to war, get captured and end up in a POW camp where they’re challenged to a game of polo by the German horses. I’ve almost got the ending worked out where our best player, Sylvester Stallion, wins the day and they all escape.
Then I came up with a bunch of older friends, a sort of hybrid of The Wives of Chorleywood `whose husbands all meet at the same table at the same place, working title `Panama Jacks` , then I thought ` No… men in white hats drinking coffee, who’s going to believe that?`
So, I moved it to a pub and thought of bringing the escapees in but dithered between which pub to choose as I’m not sure if horses are welcome at Big Al`s Open Mic night and I’m never sure if the other one is open or closed.
We’ve already got a stag and a pub for sheep then I remembered the grazing rights and came up with everyday tales and laughs in `The Drovers Return` , working title `Beers!`
Job done.
