Christmas kicks off in the village this Friday with Chorleywood Christmas Festival. The Chorleywood Community Initiatives event by is sponsored by Herts County Council

Rhythm Stage

Featuring local musicians and vocalists including : Sing Chorleywood, Carols from local choir members and keen singers, Tenor Rob Murray, Tinlin, 3 Amigos, Cowboy Ceilidh and  Mick Flinn Band

Shops and Businesses:

Dogs Trust:  Free mulled wine and mince pies, raffle draw, kids lucky dip

Chorleywood Bookshop: Music from John Jackson on keys and Lizzy Duncan singing festive songs and carols and author John Cooper will be signing his book Rickmansworth Croxley Green and Chorleywood through time.
Also Morag McGinn with her Tidy Books Boxes. Refreshments will be served.

Chorleywood Sports are giving 20% off all stock on the night and will have mulled wine, mince pies and Christmas music.

Andrew Fleming – Live Christmas wreath making and mulled cider!

Number One Boutique will be serving wine to customers. Special discounts on the evening on selected items

Aarna Beauty – Skin Bar Experience, Free file and polish, 15% off products

Sewell and Gardner are providing Prosecco, juice, mini mince pies, mini chocolate logs & mini stollen

Santa will be:

In his grotto at Little Beans & Co, £2 per child, all proceeds go to charity.  Face painting and festive treats also at the coffee house

Gusto – Substantial supper : lasagne or chilli con carne with rice, £4 a portion

Sathi : Spicy specials served on the street

Higgins: Hog Roast

Morgan’s Deli: Toasted (and plain) Panettone.. 10% off Panettone nought on night

Peppermill:  Hearty specials – Winter warming beef stew, Mulled wine and mulled cider, Christmas Bread and Butter pudding as well as usual menu

J & J May: Pulled Pork

Rootz Coffee Lounge

Three Sons  – Hot roast chestnuts, Samosas  (chicken, lamb and vegetable)  Onion bhajis, burgers (beef, chicken and lamb) kebabs in pitta bread with salad

Chorleywood Scouts –  mulled wine and mince pies, with hot chocolate and popcorn

All money raised goes towards this year’s charities..Love 146 (Child trafficking) MND (Motor Neurone Disease) and Beat( eating orders charities) and St Elizabeth’s Centre (support for people of all ages with epilepsy)
