Chorleywood Community Orchard celebrates one of the nation’s favourite fruits and the apple harvest again early next month.

Apple Day is now in its 8th year

“Our famous BBQ will again be serving J & J May’s bespoke pork and local apple sausages with our homemade local apple chutney” says Alison Rubens, “Chorleywood Cider Club will be serving our delicious 2015 vintage cider (the best yet!) and inviting new members to help make 2016’s brew. Locally grown apples, apple juice, homemade jams and chutneys, cakes and biscuits will be on sale.

Children’s activities including apple juicing using our popular apple press and crusher and longest peel competition!”

The orchard trees are not quite producing ample fruit so apple donations gratefully received and can be picked up”

Apple Identification 16 OCTOBER
