Building it up

Building work around the village that has caught our eye:

Great Green Street Farm September 2015

The Air Group and Peter Bradley Developments are building a development of 3 and 4 bedroomed houses.
Phase one consists of six barn conversions. The buildings are Grade II listed. The original timber framework of the Grade II listed buildings will be preserved. The homes will sit in a courtyard in six acres of grounds.

As well as building work they do seem to have sorted out the flooding in Green Street, it has yet to be tested by a waterlogged winter but fingers crossed. Read more on that here.

Memorial Hall July 2015

If you’ve been driving past the Memorial Hall and wondering what is going on – Chorleywood’s landmark building is having an extension. The two recessed walls either side of the entrance porchway are being brought forward, almost, but not quite in line with the front door.  This will create more storage and a sizeable meeting room with kitchen facilities that will be available for separate hire.

For booking enquiries contact Michelle Putman at Chorleywood Parish Council on 01923 282568 or email info@chorleywood-pc.gov.uk.
