Following the shortlisting of the small piece of woodland in Grovewood Close as a possible site of the new Chorleywood play area, local residents have set up an action committee to co-ordinate responses.
Anybody wishing to join the action group can contact them on grovewoodfriends@gmail.com
The other sites on the shortlist are two different ones on the Common near Shepherds Bridge and one in Chorleywood House Estate.
Anybody new to the area, excited by the prospect of a new play area in Chorleywood, should perhaps be warned that the children who would have benefited from the original Play Area proposal are now old enough to have children of their own.
