A group of twenty Chorleywood Primary parents and friends are taking part in the Chiltern 100 Cycling Festival on Sunday15 July to raise funds for the school and Brain Tumour Research.
“The PA try to do one sporting related fundraiser every year and as I am a keen cyclist I decided to take on a team.” says organiser David Knox, “The Chiltern 100 is the perfect local event as you can enter at three different levels – some are tackling the 32 mile distance, others 68 miles and a few the full 100! It is family-friendly event and great day out with a mini festival beyond the finishing line!”
As well as the main bike rides there are children’s go-ride events, a vintage bike parade and 30+ stalls covering everything from cycling to craft beer and gourmet food plus there are cream teasing picnics on the lawn with live music
“As well as raising money for the school, we will donate some to Brain Tumour Research – a charity recommended by Rochelle and ??? (dad’s name) whose daughter Betsy in CWPS nursery has a brain tumour that has severely affected her vision and hormone function.”
