March is going to be a monster month if you’re a Paul Carrack fan. The official release date for his new single, Good As Gold is 17 March and he plays at the London Palladium as part of his 2017 tour.
Expect a live airing of tracks from his recently released album Soul Shadows at the gigs, as well as classic gold PC.
“We have to get the balance between new and old and there are so many new songs to choose from that work well live. Too good to be true is a straight up rock and roll number, it’s along the lines of a Bonnie Rait tune. Sweet Soul Legacy is great too. It’s a homage to the soul legends..they’re mentioned in the lyrics. Late at Night is another funky track with an instrumental break we can stretch out on stage!”
Paul’s son Jack son plays drums and percussion in the band worked on most tracks.
“Jack was involved from the beginning on the Soul Shadows album, a lot of things emanated from jams in the studio.”
