Vanessa Langford braved the razor at HOB Salon, Ricky last month. Vanessa, 50, opted to lose her long locks as a fundraising measure to help best friend Clare who was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer in August, The money will go towards expensive proton beam therapy which is Clare’s only option. Mother of three Clare met Vanessa 25 years ago when they were both modelling.
“Clare calls me her big sister as I’m forever organising her life,: says Vanessa. “ Having my head shaved was abit of a shock but it was done for a reason but it wil grow back. I bought a wig from Bespoke Wig in Lower Road, Chorleywood , A lot of their work is making wigs for people who are undergoing chemotherapy. I’ve raised around £1200 from two fundraising pages so far and hope to get more.
