Baxter is loved for his distinctive lyrical songs and many have been covered as well as used in movie soundtracks
Baxter’s debut album, Feather and Stone, (Columbia ,Oct 04) was a regular on BBC Radio 2 Playlist His second album Skybound ( Jan 08 Charisma Records ) included the first single, Better which was used on the soundtrack for Run Fatboy Run and later release by Boyzone. Miracle was used in its entirety by the BBC to cover the final montage of their Olympics and Paralympics coverage
In 2009, My Declaration was covered by Eliza Bennett and used in the soundtrack the film Inkheart while Almost There was covered by Dame Shirley Bassey as the opening track of her album The Performance. Baxter and the BBC Concert Orchestra accompanied Dame Shirley when she performed the song at the BBC Electric Proms at the Roundhouse in 2009 . The song was also used in the ending credits for the 2011 film, Trust.
